Biggest and Smallest Cat Breeds

Cats come in all sizes, and some breeds are known for being giants, while others stay tiny and compact.

🐾 Biggest Cat Breeds

  • Maine Coon – The largest domestic cat breed, males often weigh 18–25 lbs (some even bigger). They can be over 3 feet long with their fluffy tails included.
  • Savannah Cat – A hybrid between a domestic cat and a serval (wild African cat). They’re tall and lanky, with some weighing 20–30 lbs and standing much taller than regular cats.
  • Norwegian Forest Cat – Large, muscular cats with thick coats, weighing up to 16–20 lbs.

🐾 Smallest Cat Breeds

  • Singapura – Known as the tiniest domestic cat breed, adults weigh only 4–6 lbs on average.
  • Munchkin – Famous for their short legs, they’re small-bodied and usually weigh 5–9 lbs.
  • Cornish Rex – Lightweight and slender, usually 6–9 lbs, with a fine, curly coat.

Bottom line:

  • Biggest cat breeds → Maine Coon and Savannah Cat.
